CLOSED SYSTEM NOTICE – Robertson County WSC installs check valves on the member’s side of the meter for all new services to prevent backflow that could potentially contaminate the main water supply. This means Robertson County WSC operates a closed system. Read more about closed systems and thermal expansion here, and take the appropriate action to protect your personal service lines.
METER LOCATION NOTICE – Service requested by an applicant shall be for the real estate designated to receive the service unless otherwise approved by the Corporation. This means any new meter taps shall be installed on the property for which service is requested. For any re-activation of dormant service, if the meter tap is not located on the designated property that is owned by the applicant, it must be moved at the applicant’s expense prior to service being restored. If land is subdivided and sold, any existing meter tap will transfer with the property on which it is located.
NOTICE OF ONE METER RULE – Sharing a single meter between multiple residences or dwelling units is not permitted. Contact Robertson County WSC before making significant plumbing modifications or building decisions that may be in violation of existing state regulations. Each residential structure (such as a guest house, cabin, "barndo", or any structure with a bathroom) must have its own individual water meter.
